The words billow from “Copper Colored Quiet”, the album’s closer, like clouds of smoke. <i>If I’m the Devil…</i> moves with malicious intent, using pulse-racing punk, alt-metal and atmospheric nooks to torch the justice system (“Good Mourning America”) and raise righteous hell (“Another Offensive Song”). Vocalist Jason Butler has the shredded throat of Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha, meshing power and political polemics with furious anger.
