About
Grouplove's third album sharply navigates '90s alt-rock through modern pop motifs. Hannah Hooper howls like Katy Perry on the piano-pounding "Remember That Night" before a surge of knotted-up guitars pour over "Do You Love Someone." Hooper and hubby Christian Zucconi play off each other's vocals over the buoyant synth-rock of "Good Morning" and "Cannonball," in which he works his signature snarl into a smooth rap flow. And the messiest track may be their best: The Pixies-esque grunge rocker "Traumatized" documents the couple's plunge into parenthood.
