About
Inventive New York duo re-wire folk music for the 21st Century. On the surface, Danny Miller and Max Harwood seem to make music with an erratic, improvised approach. Distorted bass and cascading rhythms splatter against one-string guitar melodies, piano riffs, campfire crooning, and sampled speech. However, each disparate part is precisely assembled together to create a compellingly melodic whole, be it lonely-hours ballad ‘Islands’ or the loose acoustic funk of ‘Loud(y)’.
