About

Creating a unique second soundtrack for Wes Anderson's fanciful film, Brazilian singer/guitarist Seu Jorge works some bossa nova magic with David Bowie's catalog. Performing solo with acoustic guitar, the deep-voiced Jorge gets to the melodic heart of Bowie's songs, including the pre-stardom nugget "When I Live My Dream." We never thought "Rebel Rebel" would work so well with a gently strummed guitar replacing that monster riff, or that "Queen Bitch" could click with no hint of androgyny. Even "Changes" turns up suitably ch-ch-changed as a soulful ballad.
