Spinetta y los Socios del Desierto is the debut studio album by the Argentine band of the same name, comprised of Luis Alberto Spinetta (guitar and vocals), Daniel Wirtz (drums), and Marcelo Torres (bass). It is a double album recorded in 1995 at Spinetta's personal studio, La Diosa Salvaje, and released in 1997 after a lengthy dispute with record labels. By the end of 1995, the band had already recorded their first album, a double album, at Spinetta's own La Diosa Salvaje studios, but the major record labels refused to release it, citing artistic reasons—they refused to release a double .
