Released in 1981, Magnets was the second album by The Vapors. The theme of this album circles mostly around psychotic people and can be considered quite dark. The lead-single and opening track on this album Jimmie Jones is about a cult leader for example and the title track (Magnets) is about the assassination of John F Kennedy. The album also got less airplay then its predecessor (New Clear Days) and wasn't received as well either.
