Much of Bryan Adams’ 11th album was written and recorded while he was on tour, which contributes to its loosely intimate feel. “I Thought I’d Seen Everything” blossoms from a strummy jam session into an ear-candy chorus, with Adams’ rasp guiding the way; the gently propulsive power ballad “Broken Wings” gleams with gratitude. And the stripped-down album closer “Walk On By” places Adams’ era-defining voice at its forefront, giving listeners a chance to hear its contours in detail.
