Flourishing, passionate love songs from the poet-turned-folk-star. On his fifth full-length, Savoretti seems to have overcome his career frustrations (as detailed on his last LP, <i>Written in Scars</i>) and emerged triumphant. His songwriting is still brooding and bittersweet––“fighting like enemies, out on the battlefield of love," he moans on "Sleep No More,"––but his sound is bigger, fuller, and warmer than ever.
