Nocturnal is the third album by death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder. Nocturnal was released by Metal Blade on September 18 2007. Nocturnal is the first album to feature new bassist Bart Williams, who replaced Dave Lock and drummer Shannon Lucas. It is also the last album to feature longtime guitarist John Kempainen. Artwork by Necrolord is a homage to Necrophobic - Darkside (one of the bands' favorite albums) and Sacramentum - Far Away From The Sun, which Necrolord also painted. .
