Bonnie Raitt has always been a bit of an old soul, and this lively LP demonstrates her ability to pair R&B grooves with sophisticated, intricately woven lyrics. "Good Enough" bops along with guitar and horns as Raitt sings a touching love song about a couple learning to accept themselves, while "Pleasin' Each Other" picks up where that leaves off, its piano-backed verses building toward a sax solo that says what words can't.
