"Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia" is the fifth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It was released in 2001 through Nuclear Blast Records. The album marked the first appearance of drummer Nick Barker, guitarist Galder, and bassist ICS Vortex in the band. It was also the first Dimmu Borgir album to incorporate live orchestral instrumentation in addition to keyboards. The recording was produced by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, and was the first of three consecutive Dimmu Borgir albums recorded there.
