With UK producers Stock Aitken Waterman, she retools Goffin and King’s 1962 hit “The Loco-Motion” from steam to electric. Her toothy vocals glide atop shunting beats and brassy keyboard blasts on “Got to Be Certain,” while she expertly pulls off some midtempo Europop heartbreak—and a French accent—on “I Still Love You (Je ne sais pas pourquoi).”
