this album, seen by many as a milestone regarding instrumental skills in speed/thrash metal, was recorded at skytrack studio in berlin in 1988. producer was motörhead producer guy bidmeat. musical guest on synthesizers was gary marlowe (later to become a film composer and producer), who had his publishing office and studio right on top of skytrack studio. marlowe, who tried to make his keyboard work as unhearable - yet perceiveable as possible, in order to fit the style of the band without disturbing it, only giving some subtle, ambient strength to certain parts, in an eno-ish way. after the ultra-loud .
