From the hills of Siliguri, producer and vocalist Dreamhour offers retro-tinged synthwave that reverberates like few others in the country. On his latest, Debo Sanyal sets up a universe of bloodthirsty vampire mobsters straight out of Bollywood, and two protagonists dying to take them on. Through hypnotic, sprawling synth hooks (“Blood Patrol”), seething bass lines ("Heart This") and epic, cinematic interludes (“VLLNS Theme”), Dreamhour leads a journey through a vivid narrative, his trademark vocoders and orchestral stabs evoking a singular sonic experience.
