About
For the third edition of the role-playing game Kingdom Hearts, the Japanese singer recruited songwriter Poo Bear (Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?”) and producer Skrillex to collaborate on a new theme song. Versions in English and Japanese are here, both accented by Utada’s emotional performance and Skrillex’s wobbly, skittering beats. Lush ballads “Don’t Think Twice” and “Chikai” lend additional motivation, for when the evil Heartless creatures try to invade and take over the universe.
