Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in 1998 by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Zakk Wylde. Best known for their powerful blend of Southern rock and heavy metal, the band first made waves with their debut album Sonic Brew, released in May 1999. Wylde, a long-time guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, initially envisioned the project as a solo endeavor but expanded it into a full-fledged band with a rotating lineup over the years. Their signature sound features crushing guitar riffs, melodic interludes, and Wylde’s distinctive pinch harmonics.
