About
Chaos followed The Replacements wherever they went, but they only let as much of it into their studio recordings as they needed to, as shown by this greatest-hits collection. Even when they were just learning how to be a band, they blended off-the-cuff energy with incisive lyrics about never belonging anywhere on tracks like "Kids Don't Follow." As Paul Westerberg grew more comfortable with vulnerability, he wrote openhearted anthems like "Unsatisfied" that spoke to the outcast in everyone.
