About
Van Morrison followed Moondance by diving even deeper into R&B on his next album—embracing his calling as a Celtic soul man more fully and crafting yet another classic in the process. Leaving behind Moondance’s folk-rock moments and mystical lyrics, Van and band (including much of the previous album’s Woodstock posse) serve up barn-burning soul stompers like “Domino,” get funky on the steamy “I’ve Been Working,” and take time for transcendent salvation on the gospel-glazed “If I Ever Needed Someone.”
