"Good Souls Better Angels" is the 14th studio album by American singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams, released on 24 April 2020 by Highway 20 Records and Thirty Tigers. Williams' fourth album since she launched her own record label and took full control of her process of recording and releasing music, the album was cut mostly live in the studio with her road band -- Stuart Mathis on guitar, David Sutton on bass, and Butch Norton on drums. The track "Man Without a Soul", a critique of US President Donald Trump, earned Williams a Grammy Award nomination for Best American Roots Song, while .
