Deathconsciousness is the debut studio album by Connecticut rock duo Have a Nice Life, formed by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga, released on January 24, 2008, via Enemies List Home Recordings. Recorded independently by the two band members on a budget of less than $1,000, and spending from 2002 - 2007 (5 years) writing the songs. Deathconsciousness was released as a double album; the first disc is entitled "The Plow That Broke the Plains" and the second is entitled "The Future". The original cover art features a darkened version of the painting "The Death of Marat", painted by Jacques-Louis David .
