About
Before singer/guitarist Steve Miller became one of the late-'70s big names in rock & roll, he specialized in psychedelic space blues. Released in 1972, the 16 track ANTHOLOGY collects Miller's best tracks from his first five, pre-JOKER albums, distilling and capturing Steve Miller's space blues songs into a tight, effective collection. These songs are hardly as tuneful or effortlessly catchy as the songs on 1978's Greatest Hits, but are all first-rate period pieces, with an excellent quality of lyrics and music composition. This is the "old" Steve Miller, which some feel is the best part of his career. Notes: 1. .
