Taken from seven concerts during Mark Kozelek’s tour of the U.S. and Europe in 2007 and 2008, these acoustic performances are unique windows into the intimate concerts of the Sun Kil Moon and Red House Painters singer. The glistening <i>April</i> standout “Lost Verses” and <i>Ghosts of the Great Highway</i> rocker-turned-folkie number “Salvador Sanchez” showcase his ability to play captivating guitar while convincingly crooning his personal, melancholy lyrics. The Modest Mouse cover “Tiny Cities Made of Ashes” becomes an entrancing, rustic blanket of warm chords in the version Kozelek conjures here.
