Reflecting its expanded lineup, the Icelandic septet (initially a solo vehicle for singer/songwriter Sindri Mar Sigfusson) dips into a diverse sonic palette to blend the brooding austerity of Sigur Ros with the dreamy sweetness of Best Coast. Sigfusson’s murmuring vocals embody a melancholy yet inviting mood in tracks like “Cold Summer,” “Fire Dies Down,” and “Leafmask.” “Wooden Teeth” veers into upbeat bluegrass, while “Warm Blood” overlays guitar feedback and tumbling drums over a tender folk-pop melody.
