About

On his No Limit debut, Mystikal immediately proves himself as the label’s most dynamic lyricist (on the intro, Master P introduces him as “one of the hardest lieutenants on the tank”). “If it ain’t live, it ain’t me,” he raps on the title track before busting a dizzying triple-time flow, daring would-be imitators to try and keep up. His late sister’s absence still looms large on the seething “Murder 2” and on “Shine,” a bittersweet look back at their childhood musical ambitions.
