The Car Over the Lake Album is the third album by the country rock band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, it was named after its cheerfully surreal cover illustration, which was borrowed from a poster advertising one of the band’s college gigs. This package included a red acetate E.P. record nicknamed "The Little Red Record." In the continuing saga of The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, we find the band making the last album of their three album contract with A&M. They are now enjoying the fruits of two successful albums having each bought farms, increased their recreational substances .
