About
Nektar, an English band formed in Germany debuted with Journey to the Centre of the Eye in 1971. Recorded in mid '71 in Dierks Studios, West Germany, the album is a conceptual progressive-space rock piece divided into 13 tracks, telling a story. The story follows an astronaut in a ship heading to Saturn, where he is intercepted by a "saucer of unknown origin". He then follows it, travelling through hyperspace and arriving to the a new galaxy, "The Dream Nebula", serene and beautiful. Once there, he acquires great knowledge, until he starts to "see everything". He comprehends the universe inside .
