About

America Must Be Destroyed was the third album by heavy metal band GWAR, and the 2nd on Metal Blade Records. Pretty much the entirety of this album was inspired by the North Carolina incident in which Dave Brockie was arrested for obscenity because of his Cuttlefish of Cthulu. Brockie was disgusted by the violation of his rights, so in turn he created a concept album revolving around the “Morality Squad”. A group that attacked the members of Gwar ad stole Oderous’s Cuttlefish. Since it’s a concept album, the opening song, “Ham on the Bone” describes the robbery of his Cuttlefish. .
