Freedom Suite is a 1958 album by American jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins, his last recorded for the Riverside label, featuring performances by Rollins with Oscar Pettiford (bass) and Max Roach (drums). The album is said to have been occasioned by the political climate of US race relations and civil rights in the late 1950s as well as the musical freedom of jazz (especially the piano-less form) and the inner freedom of the jazz improviser (of which Rollins was a master). The political aspect met with resistance in the white jazz world at the time. The record company quickly withdrew the .
