About

Due to their tendency to have shows so violent that the cops would shut them down, Black Flag are often remembered as one of the most deadly groups to emerge from punk. But The First Four Years, a compilation featuring the band’s pre-Henry Rollins material, argues that they had a sense of humor to go along with their grimy, furious music. Just listen to their goofball drinking anthem "Six Pack," or the way they maul through "Louie Louie," or Keith Morris’ burnout epic "Wasted."
