During their time reigning over the ‘80s hardcore-punk scene, Black Flag embraced chaos and forward motion at all costs. Their lineup was ever-shifting, they recorded at a constant clip, and guitarist/songwriter Greg Ginn grew their sound from a no-frills punk roar into a jazz-infected sludge-metal onslaught. <i>Wasted...Again</i> is an ideal compilation for wading into Black Flag’s world, offering a snapshot of their entire career, from early pogo workouts like "Wasted" (featuring founding frontman Keith Morris) to later, more complex assaults like "Loose Nut."
