About

Truck your blues away with the Jefferson Airplane splinter group's first studio recording, a casually excellent hybrid of Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady's earlier acoustic and electric live albums. Tuna balances the outstandingly lysergic Kaukonen originals "Sea Child" and the fingerpicked-guitar palimpsest "Water Song" with vintage material like Julius Daniels' "99 Year Blues" and Bob Carleton's "Keep On Truckin'." Papa John Creach's keening country-blues fiddle provides the special sauce throughout.
