About
As the Minutemen became icons of '80s DIY punk, they were never ones to place limits on their creativity. Their last studio album, released shortly before singer/guitarist D. Boon's tragic death, found them thumbing their noses at any sense of punk orthodoxy. Tackling rap-like funk rock (“No One”), avant-garde jazz fusion (“Situations at Hand”), and jangly pop numbers (“The Big Stick”), the Minutemen’s swan song proved there was no sound they couldn’t make their own.
