About

Hüsker Dü sound as sharp as ever on their first self-produced album. Bob Mould’s guitar is the star of the show, charging forward ecstatically on the title track and the gleeful takedown “Makes No Sense At All.” But they also find their way to romance; the speedy “Every Everything” buries a true love song underneath its hard-charging guitars, and the band give way to a slightly more toned-down gentleness on “Green Eyes,” a treatise on beauty.
