This album is a true gem. Genre- bending at its best. Pedal steel swells, funky bass lines, horns, etc... Daniel Lanois is a visionary artist and producer as well as a wicked string master. This is the antidote to mind - numbing ambient music, even though it surprisingly falls into that category. Listening to this music is time well spent .
