The Magician's Birthday is the fifth album released by Uriah Heep. It was recorded and released in 1972. In 1996, it was remastered and re-released with 2 bonus tracks. In 2004, another remastered version was released with 9 additional tracks. "Blind Eye" and "Sweet Lorraine" both charted at low positions in the US Top 100 and "Spider Woman" climbed as high as #13 in the German charts. The title track is notable for a kazoo solo (played by Kerslake) and the use of "Happy Birthday To You" melody. The album's title was also the inspiration for the name of the .
