About
Released in 1988, this was Stacey Q's second album for Atlantic Records. It was the follow-up to the smash hit 1986 album "Better Than Heaven." On this "wonderfully varied album" (Billboard 1988), Stacey Q departed slightly from the bubble gum pop for what she was known. It featured many genres of music including R&B, 50s girl group, dance, rap and even a bit of country. The album featured three singles, the R&B-flavored "Don't Make a Fool of Yourself," the "Two of Hearts"-sounding "I Love You" and sweet "Favorite Things." "Hard Machine" was not nearly as successful as "Better Than Heaven," .
