Teen Dance Ordinance was the fourth album by British alternative rock band A. The album was produced by Terry Date (known for work with Soundgarden and Overkill among others), as a result there can be said to be a heavier, more metal, feel on several of the album's cuts in comparison to earlier works by the band. Having experienced a great growth in popularity with their previous album, Hi-fi Serious, the band were keen to record and release Teen Dance Ordinance partly to capitalise on that success. After recording the album, however, difficulties with the label struck delaying the album's .
