Avril Lavigne has no intention of growing older gracefully. The mallrat punk rocker with the perfect productions and the sassy suspicions of the coolest misfit in the skate park continues to find ways to address her audience’s hopes, dreams and frustrations. By the time Lavigne makes it to her completely self-penned tunes, “4Real,” “Remember When” and “Goodbye,” the album’s genuine soft-rockers, it feels about time.
