About
Don’t let the title track fool you; this album is much more than a celebration of the tiny white whale. Also honored in song are biscuits, beans, and barley, all in Raffi’s retro folksinger style. Traditional tracks like “Kumbaya,” “This Old Man,” and “Day O’” are reinterpreted here with ukulele, harmonica, and a chorus of kids. Baby Beluga runs the gamut from the well-mannered “Thanks a Lot” to the crazy sound effects of “Joshua Giraffe,” with plenty of “oh yeahs” thrown in to keep things interesting.
