About
In a way, Living Proof is the most personal record Buddy Guy has ever made. That's because the songs are largely based on the blues master's own life. Tunes like the acoustic-based "74 Years Young" and the slow, stomping "Thank Me Someday" are overtly based on details from Guy’s history, while others, like the easy-rolling B.B. King duet "Stay Around a Little Longer," are less concerned with strict autobiography but still draw on deep, universal truths, making every cut hit close to home.
