About
In the mid-’70s, most touring rockers avoided Ireland (Northern Ireland in particular) due to its political strife and violence. But not Gallagher. The opportunity to play before his countrymen clearly fueled the musician’s fire and passion. On the sweat-soaked Irish Tour ’74, Gallagher and crew know only two gears when it comes to boogie exploration: intense and crazy-intense. The star of the show is the Irishman’s frenetic fretwork, but you simply can’t overlook drummer Rod de’Ath, whose swing is white-hot.
