About
A Day to Remember's third album finds the band perfecting an aggressive hybrid of dense metalcore and spring-loaded pop-punk. This leads to electric songs in which buoyant verses pair with drilling guitar breakdowns ("NJ Legion Iced Tea") and lightning-fast rhythms interweave with midtempo harmonies (the rapid-fire title track). Anchoring these sonic contrasts is frontman Jeremy McKinnon, who veers from feral growls and yearning pleas at the drop of a hat, especially on anthems like "The Downfall of Us All" and "Mr. Highway's Thinking About the End."
