Power of the Dollar is an unofficially-released but heavily bootlegged album by rapper 50 Cent. The album, which was originally set for a September 12, 2000 release, was supposed to be his debut album with Columbia Records. Prior to the filming of the music video for the single "Thug Love," 50 Cent was shot nine times. When Columbia records found out that 50 Cent had been shot, they scratched releasing the full LP. So instead, Columbia released the album as an EP. Reception Allmusic writes that the tracks utilize "penetrating wit and funk-infused beats, accompanied by grand orchestrations of commanding .
