About
This double-length anthology follows the world-beating trio's entire career. Over the course of 28 cuts, we follow the rapid evolution of one of the world's biggest bands, moving from the punk-infused frenzy of their first (non-LP) single, "Fall Out," to the early flowerings of their reggae–new wave fusion ("Can't Stand Losing You," "Roxanne"). From there, the band's sound expanded exponentially, incorporating world music grooves ("Reggatta De Blanc," "Bring on the Night"), increasingly arch lyrics ("Don't Stand So Close to Me"), and pure pop hooks ("De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da"). The Police never lost their arresting appeal.
