On <i>Neverendless</i>, Cave sculpt 21st-century motorik with hard-rocking repetition, opening up a gateway to infinity. “Wuj” blasts off with looping bass and drums and squalling riffs that kick in like thrusters; “This Is the Best” is even more epic, with avant-garde grooves that sound like a CD skipping maniacally. The psychedelic jammers offer respite with “On the Rise,” a track complete with gorgeously swelling fuzz, cosmic synths, and cyborg chants designed to sooth the brain instead of crack it open.
