With their first new album in over a decade, Canadian alt-rock group Finger Eleven capitalizes on the warm reception they received for the two new studio tracks included on their 2023 greatest-hits compilation. Leadoff track “Adrenaline” rides a western gallop into singer Scott Anderson’s exhortation to “get your kicks and run!” while ’90s throwback “Blue Sky Mystery” features period-appropriate guest vocals from Filter lead singer Richard Patrick. The piano-based “Wall Dogs” marks one of the few Finger Eleven songs written entirely by bassist Sean Anderson, while the acoustic title track, with its lyrics about a failing relationship, was recorded campfire-jam-style in the studio.
