About
The debut album by Viking metal's golden gods fires out of the gates with a full speed, ax-in-hand sprint toward enemy lines. Infusing the distinct Swedish melodic death metal sound with lyrics drawing directly from Nordic folklore and Tolkienesque tales of epic combat, Amon Amarth forge their first battle cry with pummeling attacks like the galloping "Ride For Vengeance" and the ominous drone of "The Dragons' Flight Across the Waves." The climactic "Amon Amarth" literally features battle sounds of clashing swords over soaring guitars.
