About

The Devil Wears Prada celebrate their 20th year as a band with Flowers. The Ohio-based metalcore troupe’s sprawling ninth album sees them collaborating with songwriters Tyler Smyth (I Prevail, Falling In Reverse), Colin Brittain (LINKIN PARK, Papa Roach), and Austin Coupe (Moodring, Lø Spirit), as well as Marshall Gallagher of Teenage Wrist and Bobby Lynge of Fit for a King. TDWP introduced the album to fans with double singles “Where the Flowers Never Grow,” an emo anthem about finding calm in the mundane, and “Wave,” a hushed ballad about following life where it leads us. On “So Low,” vocalist Mike Hranica asks “why the highs always feel so low,” while “Everybody Knows” deals with the loss of control through inebriation and plays like a continuation of the band’s 2019 song “Chemical.”
