About
The Canadian twins recorded their debut in their mom's living room, and the intimacy shines through: “Divided” confronts a fraught period between the Quins, “Superstar” pokes fun at the industry hubbub that had grown around them, and on “Proud,” they stake out their sexual identities. You can hear the 18-year-old sisters putting their own stamp on their formative influences: Their crunchy guitars and angsty intonation align them with the late-'90s Lilith Fair set—plus the occasional electronic flourish. The roots of their idiosyncratic songwriting style are in full view.
