About
Bloody Blasphemy is the third full-length album by Dutch extreme metal band God Dethroned, released in 1999 through Metal Blade Records. It is widely regarded as a breakthrough release for the band, solidifying their transition from straightforward death metal to a more melodic blackened death metal sound, incorporating aggressive blast beats, melodic riffs, and anti-religious lyrical themes. A music video for "Under the Golden Wings of Death" was made. The audio sample at the beginning of track 1 was taken from the 1982 film "Death Wish II". Recorded on Unholy Ground during the Fall & Winter of 1998. Henri Vocals .
